How Credible Is Propecia?

Propecia is used for the treatment of men having male pattern baldness on the top of the head and anterior mid-scalp region. Propecia is a product approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Any product, which has the approval of FDA, can be considered as safe and secure for medical treatment. FDA conducts a series of tests to verify the various aspects of the product.

A pharmaceutical company has to invest a lot of time and resources to get approved by the FDA. A two-year study was conducted on more than 1,500 men. Above 80% of the men experienced enhanced growth and density. So, there is no doubt that Propecia has the credentials to be a totally safe and secure cure for baldness in men. Do not forget that this product is specifically designed for men and will not be advantageous for women in any way.

The impact of Propecia varies for different men. You need to take the drug for a minimum of 2 to 3 months. Then only, you can sense whether it is beneficial for you or not. A noticeable feature of Propecia is that once you have started to use it, you need to continue using it for the rest of your life. If you stop using it, there is a strong possibility of you returning to your previous state.

Another thing you have to keep in your mind when opting for Propecia is that it is not going to cure all kinds of hair loss. The drug is potent for treating hair loss on the crown of the head and mid-scalp. There is not enough evidence to recommend it for treating a receding hair line or loss of hair on the sides of the head.
